MCP

ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Connect the Leexi MCP server to ChatGPT as a custom connector to query your calls from ChatGPT.
Who is this for?Required permissions and licenses
• For ChatGPT users who want to query their calls and Leexi documentation from ChatGPT.• A ChatGPT plan that allows Developer Mode (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu); on Business/Enterprise/Edu, the workspace administrator must allow Developer Mode.
• An active Leexi account with at least one processed call.

How to use it

MCP server URL: https://api.leexi.ai/mcp

For reference, see OpenAI's Developer Mode documentation.

Why Developer Mode is required: without Developer Mode, ChatGPT's custom connectors are limited to the built-in search and fetch tools (knowledge-base mode). To actually call Leexi's tools (query_calls, fetch_call_details, etc.), you need to enable Developer Mode, which activates full MCP support for all tools.

Enable Developer Mode

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and open Advanced settings.
  3. Enable Developer mode (if your organization allows it).
  4. Accept the warning about running third-party code on your behalf.

Note: OpenAI renamed Connectors to Apps in late 2025; depending on your version, the menu may be called Apps & Connectors, Apps, or Connectors — the steps stay the same.

Create the custom connector

Once Developer Mode is enabled, a Create button appears under Settings → Apps & Connectors.

  1. Click Create.
  2. Fill in the connector details:
    • Name: Leexi
    • Description: Query your Leexi calls, AI summaries, follow-up tasks, and Leexi product documentation. (ChatGPT uses this text to decide when to call the tools)
    • URL: https://api.leexi.ai/mcp
  3. Click Create.
  4. Sign in with your Leexi account and click Authorize.
  5. On success, ChatGPT displays the list of Leexi tools exposed by the server.

Use Leexi in a conversation

  1. Open a new chat in ChatGPT.
  2. Click the + button near the input field, then More.
  3. Select the Leexi connector to add it to the conversation.
  4. Ask a question that triggers a tool, for example: "Show me my Leexi calls from last week with Acme Corp."

ChatGPT displays the tool call payload for review before execution. Since Leexi is read-only, no write confirmation applies — but you'll still see the inputs and outputs of each call in the interface.

Once the connector is linked on ChatGPT web, it also becomes available in the ChatGPT mobile apps.

Going further

What you can do once connected

ToolWhat it does
query_callsSearches your calls by date, participant, team, client, and more
fetch_call_detailsRetrieves the full summaries, follow-up tasks, and metadata of specific calls
query_resourcesSearches Leexi's product documentation
fetch_resource_detailsRetrieves the full content of documentation articles

Tip: ChatGPT often only calls a tool if the request clearly requires it. If it answers from its general knowledge, ask explicitly, for example: "Use the Leexi connector to find…".

Refreshing the connector

If Leexi's tools or descriptions change, open the connector under Settings → Apps & Connectors, click Leexi, then choose Refresh to reload the server's metadata.
